This is to notify you all that due to bad weather and associated road conditions, we have had to cancel DSTS this year. Several of you have either contacted me already to say you aren't coming or to inquire about it. The roads were already pretty bad from the last week or so, and since it is continuing and actually promises to be worse this week, we have no choice.
Our policy regarding refunds is as follows: We will send out shirts/sweatshirts to those who ordered them, fully refund housing amounts paid, and refund registration less a $1 processing/postage fee in addition to postage for sending shirts/sweatshirts (the latter only applies to those who ordered them). We will try to complete this by early February.
We apologize for any inconvenience, but we are all at the mercy of the weather. In planning for subsequent events, consideration is being given to alternate dates and/or alternate sites to avoid this situation that has struck us twice now in five years.
